Make Your Baseball Predictions

How to make acurate baseball predictions? Make sure you do this before the start of the season. You can meticulously analyze every team and try to figure out which ones are going to do well, or, if you don’t know anything about baseball, write them down at random.

It’s best to do this with a partner. After you’ve written down your predictions, compare them and talk about how you arrived at your decisions. Baseball is a game that prompts discussion, so offer reasons why you think a certain team will do well and another poorly. It might help to have last year’s standings or the results of the exhibition games on hand.

At the end of the season, see how well you did. Devise a point system to rate your predictions. Then add up the points and see who proved the best seer. Without knowing anything about the teams, you might do just as well as a baseball buff. That’s just the way the game is.

Plan an Adventure

adventure

Think of the people with whom you’d like to spend this adventure, call them, arrange a date and time to discuss some possibilities, and then start thinking about what you might want to do.
Your adventure might be as modest as a walk across town, or as grand as a river-rafting trip. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you see it as a real adventure. It qualifies as an adventure if it’s something out of the ordinary; something you’ve always wanted to do; something you never thought you could do; or something that other people think you should—or shouldn’t—do.

When you begin your adventure, try not to think about the destination, but rather focus on what you’re doing for its own sake. As Robert Louis Stevenson said, “To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive.” If you’re walking in an unfamiliar part of town, pay special attention to the scenery, the architecture, the ambience of the area. If you have chosen river rafting, bear in mind that each moment along the way contains the seed of a joyful experience. Each point in time can provide all the excitement you could ever want. The “trip” is merely the sum total of every individual moment you experience. As you move along the river, recognize both the power and the serenity, the way the water carries you along as it also holds you up.
When your adventure is over, it will now be part of your life experience, what you’re comfortable with, what you know you can do.

The next time you plan an adventure, try to make it even more daring. River rafting can become rock climbing, and a walk across town can become a walk across a strange town. Babysitting for one child can turn into babysitting for two, or even a decision to start a family of your own, one of the biggest adventures of all.
