Go Fishing

It can be deep-sea fishing, stream fishing, or lake fishing. That’s not important. What matters is that you wake up early, while the air still has a slight chill, that you have a friend or two with whom you can spend this day of ultimate leisure, and that your agenda consists of nothing but the pursuit of relaxation.
If you’ve never gone fishing before, you can get a short book and read up on how it’s done. If you don’t have gear, you can rent or borrow a rod, reel, and any other equipment you’ll need.

The point of fishing is not really to catch fish, although that’s ostensibly what you’re out there for. The point is to sit and patiently wait for something to happen rather than trying to make it happen. Fishing is the ultimate do-nothing sport. Of course, there is skill involved in bringing the fish in once it has bitten, but that is almost beside the point. Start up a good conversation with your partner, or honor the silence of the early morning hours.
If you do catch a fish, eat it today.
